چکیده

Histochemical observations were carried out on various hydrolytic enzymes in the spontaneous mammary carcinoma of C3H-strain mice. Alkaline phosphatase activity was observed in the luminal border of the tubular structure and in the periluminal surface, which showed a cystic dilatation in ducts and papillae. Capillaries in the stroma showed a high enzymatic activity. Acid phosphatase activity was moderate in the inner layer of large ductlike structure of neoplasms and rather slight in other parts. Esterase activity was variable in neoplastic epithelia. Ac tivities for 13-glucuronidase and aminopeptidase were low in tumor cells. There was a complete lack of alkaline phosphatase activity in a medullary type of mammary can cer. The distribution of other hydrolytic enzymes was almost the same in all types of mammary carcinoma of C3H mouse.

A histochemical study on hydrolytic and oxidative enzymes in human sarcomas.

Histochemical evaluations of human sarcomas such as reticulum cell sarcoma, fibrosarcoma, lymphosarcoma and neurofibrosarcoma, were carried out with five hydrolytic enzymes and eight oxidative enzymes. The activities of acid phosphatase and beta-glucuronidase were slightly positive in the neoplastic cells observed. Beta-esterase activity was also positive but varied according to the kind of sar...

Hydrolytic enzyme activity in rhesus monkey placenta during early gestational malaria: histochemical studies.

BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES Early gestational malaria is found to be more fatal than late gestational infection but the pathophysiology of early gestational placenta, the maternofoetal organ responsible for maintenance of pregnancy, remains unexplored. Present study dealing with hydrolytic enzymes in early gestational placenta of rhesus monkeys during Plasmodium cynomolgi infection was anticipated ...

Histochemical studies of hydrolytic and oxidative enzymes in the human intestinal tumors.

The distribution and activities of five hydrolytic and eight oxidative enzymes were histochemically studied in 60 different tumors of the human intestines. Benign polyp showed similar activities of most enzymes as those in normal crypt cells of large intestine with exception of higher activity of succinic dehydrogenase in benign polyp than in crypt cells. Malignant polyp had higher activities o...

Effect of Scrophularia Striata Boiss Extract on in Vitro Gas Production Parameters, Concentration and Volatile Fatty Acids Profile and Hydrolytic Enzyme Activity in Ceca Contents of Male Adults Rabbits

IIn this study, the effect of different levels of Scrophularia striata extract on the parameters of laboratory gas production, the concentration of volatile fatty acids and the activity of hydrolytic enzymes on the contents of the cecum of adult male rabbits were investigated. For this purpose, 20 New Zealand rabbits weighing approximately 1.6 ± 0.2 kg (5 months and up) were used in a completel...
